Deciding to change

I chose to save this topic for last because it is the most crucial step, even though it seems simple. Most major influencers that have overcome significant obstacles will all tell you that it starts with a decision. You have to decide that you want your life, mindset, circumstances, position, and status to change before change can occur.

Neuroscientists such as Dr. Caroline Leaf have determined that deciding to change can create new pathways in the brain to move you towards new ways of operating. These new pathways help us to move towards change mentally and physically. Our bodies will even begin to respond differently to life circumstances. We can not expect change to occur overnight, and we won’t always see immediate results; making a daily decision towards change will lead to our transformation.

So decide…Decide that you want a change to occur.

Decide what you want that change to be.
Decide that you are worth the change.
Decide when you want to see the change take place.
Decide that you will do the work to bring the change to fruition.
Everything that has been done in this world, including the creation of the world, began with a decision, and transforming your mindset requires the same.

Make a decision and keep deciding. Your process may require renewing your decision daily, and that’s ok. Remember that the goal is to grow/evolve, and it all starts with a decision.
